Sister Felícita Rentería named superior

Sister Felícita Rentería was named superior of Monasterio Paz de la Cruz and blessed in a simple ceremony at Monastery Immaculate Conception, Ferdinand, Indiana, on Friday, January 26, 2018.

Sister Felícita was born in Pedgregal, Morropón, Peru, the sixth of ten children of Vicente Rentería and Carmen María Navarro. She entered Monasterío Paz de la Cruz in 1987, made her temporary profession in 1990, and her final profession in 1994. Sister Felícita serves as the director of St. Rita School in Morropón. She previously served as superior of the community from 2005 to 2013.

Monasterío Paz de la Cruz, located in Morropón, Peru, is a dependent monastery of Monastery Immaculate Conception. Sisters from Monastery Immaculate Conception began a foundation in Peru in 1969 and Monasterío Paz de la Cruz was established as a dependent monastery in 1983. Currently, six sisters are members of that Benedictine community.
