Our Policy
The Sisters of St. Benedict respect the privacy of our online visitors. We do not require you to register or provide personal information to us in order to view our site. We gather personal data, such as names, addresses, postal codes, email addresses, and phone numbers only when voluntarily and knowingly submitted by a visitor.
On our web site, there are several forms you can use to request information or ask to be on a mailing list. (These include, for example, request forms for Spirituality Ministry, Vocation Office, Monastery Gift Shop, and Mission Advancement Office.) You can choose to no longer be on a mailing list at any time by notifying us. Every e-mail mailing we send offers the opportunity for you to opt out of the mailings.
What do we do with the information we collect? Do we share it with anyone else?
If you make a donation online, we may occasionally send you postal mailings regarding our mission and programs. We will use your email address or phone number to contact you if we have a question regarding your donation.
From time to time the Sisters of St. Benedict rents or exchanges its list of supporters with other trusted organizations to benefit our programs and activities. Only your name and postal address would be shared with other organizations. We are extremely selective in the organizations we choose. Sisters of St. Benedict uses an external company to manage credit card and electronic fund processing. Are my donations tax-deductible?
Sisters of St. Benedict is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization which is qualified to receive tax-deductible donations. Your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Although a contribution to a charitable organization is generally deductible by individuals who itemize their deductions, an individual’s right to such deduction is subject to a variety of limitations, including the obligation to obtain an acknowledgment regarding contributions of $250 or more from the charitable organization. Sisters of St. Benedict recommends that you consult with a tax professional regarding the tax deductibility of any contribution.
