Dome Golf Classic

2013 Dome Golf Classic, Pete Dye Course in French Lick, Indiana

GolfWeek Magazine named the Pete Dye Golf Course in French Lick, Indiana, the number one public golf course in Indiana for 2013. In 2012 it was one of the top three courses in the nation, and number one in Indiana, according to National Golf Course Owners Association. Now is your chance to play on this incredible golf course while supporting the Sisters of St. Benedict.

Perched atop one of Indiana’s highest elevations, the course offers panoramic views of the countryside stretching 40 miles. The three man-made lakes and a variety of elevation changes have been integrated into a course stretching 8,100 yards from the tips, and featuring five sets of tees, making it playable by all skill levels.

World-renowned designer Pete Dye engineered the course based on a single thought drawn on a table napkin. He said it is “the most unbelievable site I have ever worked on. The outside ambiance of it really makes the golf course.”

The clubhouse is a turn-of-the-last-century mansion built by Thomas Taggart, former owner of French Lick Springs Hotel, mayor of Indianapolis, and one-time chairman of the National Democratic Party. Standing 1,000 feet above sea level, the mansion has been impeccably restored.
