The Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand are offering a program, “Understanding How the Church Uses Scripture for the Liturgies of Holy Week,” on Saturday, March 17, from 9:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern time.
Not many people have a good understanding and appreciation of the messages in scripture during Holy Week. This program is a good preparation for Holy Week, and a good introduction to the powerful use of the Bible for the Church’s most important week of the year.
The program will be held at Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, Indiana. Cost is $75, including lunch. Sign-in time is 9:30 a.m.
The presenter will be Father Eugene Hensell, OSB, a monk of Saint Meinrad Archabbey. Father Eugene has a doctorate in Scripture and is an associate professor of Scripture in the Seminary and School of Theology. He is in much demand giving biblical retreats to laity, religious groups, and clergy throughout the country.
