The Spiritual Association of the Benedictine Sisters of Ferdinand
Here’s a unique and meaningful way to:
…comfort someone facing illness, anxiety, or loss
.…express your sympathy and honor the memory of someone who has died
.…send birthday and anniversary greetings
.…say “I’m thinking of you” and send your prayers.
We invite you to enroll your family member or friend in the Ferdinand Benedictine Spiritual Association. The person enrolled, living or deceased, will be remembered in the prayers of the sisters, including the daily Liturgy of the Hours, and will participate in the good works of the Ferdinand Benedictine community.
You can enroll someone in one of these ways (a booklet or card will be sent to them):
- A Prayer for Healing: An eight-page prayer booklet and enrollment certificate. (You can also enroll yourself in the Spiritual Association with “A Prayer for Healing.”)
- In Loving Memory: An eight-page prayer booklet and enrollment certificate for the departed.
- With Heartfelt Sympathy: A sympathy card with a statement of enrollment for the departed.
- Birthday Blessings: A birthday card with a statement of enrollment and artwork by Sister Mary Oliver Reising.
- An Anniversary Prayer: An anniversary card with a statement of enrollment and artwork by Sister Mary Oliver Reising.
- Thinking of You: A friendship card with a statement of enrollment.
With your donation to the Sisters of St. Benedict, you will also be remembered by the sisters in their prayers.
The Spiritual Association of the Benedictine Sisters of Ferdinand has a long history, dating back to 14 years after the Ferdinand Benedictines were founded. Indianapolis Bishop Francis S. Chatard canonically established the Spiritual Association on the feast of the Sacred Heart, June 24, 1881.
