Lectio Divina programs set for October 13
Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand are offering two programs, “Introduction to Lectio Divina” and “Presenter’s Training,” that will teach about praying the scriptures.
Both programs will be held Saturday, October 13, at Kordes Center in Ferdinand, Indiana.
The introduction workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern time. Cost is $69, including lunch. Presenter’s Training is scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. Cost is $25.
Both will be presented by Sister Maria Tasto, OSB, a spiritual director, a certified counselor, and an active member of the Lectio Divina service team of the faculty.
Lectio Divina is listening to the word of God in scripture, in order to cultivate friendship with Christ. It’s been described as a four-step dance with the Lord: reading, reflecting, responding, and resting. An explanation of each step will be given, along with time for practice, silence, and sharing.
Registrations for both programs are due October 10. For more information or to register for either program, call 800-880-2777, or 812-367-1411, ext. 2915, or visit www.thedome.org/programs.
