Introduction to Centering Prayer

Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand are offering a program, “Centering Prayer,” that will explain this unique, simple, non-denominational form of praying and provide an opportunity for practice.

The workshop will be held Saturday, November 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern time at Kordes Center in Ferdinand, Indiana. It will be presented by Sister Maria Tasto, OSB, a certified presenter of many Centering Prayer retreats around the world.

Centering Prayer is a quiet, reflective prayer form grounded in the Christian tradition. It’s based on the wisdom saying of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount:  “When you pray, go to your inner room, close the door and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.” (Mt. 6:6)

Program cost is $65, including lunch. Registration is due November 2. For more information or to register, call 800-880-2777, or 812-367-1411, ext. 2915.
