Support the Sisters of St. Benedict

Why Give to the Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand?

Your financial support is needed to help the Sisters of St. Benedict continue and expand their ministries as bearers of peace, hope, and God's love to a broken world. They are helping to change lives through their many ways of service to the Church and society, as well as by the example of their own lives of prayer and work.

Your Gift Will Be Used to Support the Following Ministries and Needs:

  • Sisters working in ministries who do not receive full compensation for their work
  • Ministries to the Catholic laity through parish ministry and parish missions
  • Opportunities for spiritual renewal for people of all faiths in a peaceful environment
  • Oblate programs for men and women who wish to live the Benedictine values in their own life
  • Services to the poor, the homeless, immigrants, and those in need of counseling
  • Care for the senior Sisters of St. Benedict who taught in Catholic schools all their lives with minimal salaries and few benefits
  • Health care costs for the sisters, including the 67 who are 70 years of age and older
  • Upkeep of the beautiful and inspiring buildings and grounds (The monastery is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and the church has been designated an Official Project of Save America's Treasures.)
  • Vocation programs and opportunities for those considering a call to religious life
  • Continuing education and training for the Sisters of St. Benedict in education, parish ministry, and other professions
  • Initial and ongoing formation in the monastic life for the 188 community members
  • Resources for daily liturgy, including updated books for praying the Liturgy of the Hours
