Companion Program

The Companion Program is designed to offer support to women who are discerning more seriously their vocation to the Ferdinand Benedictines. Through this program, women have the opportunity to become better acquainted with the community, to make new friends, and to find support from others who are searching. Each woman in this program is matched with a sister who "companions" the woman during her discernment process.

Members of the Companion Program gather at least four times per year with one another and their sister companions. During these gatherings, they share their thoughts and reflections on discernment and the Benedictine way of life, they pray together, and they enjoy getting to know one another. Between meetings, companions keep in monthly contact with their sister companions and visit the monastery for Benedictine Life Weekends and other retreat opportunities.
