Welcome to our
Home@theDome. We'll keep you posted on the ordinary and extraordinary
happenings in our monastery on the hill.
—Sister Paulette Seng

Today we honored members of our St. Hildegard Society with a special Mass, dinner, and program. The society, which currently numbers 364 members, including the 138 deceased members, recognizes men and women who have included the Sisters of St. Benedict in their estate plans.
Sister Rose Mary Rexing, director of Mission Advancement, thanks St. Hildegard Society members for partnering with the sisters in their life of prayer and ministry. |

Sisters Jenny Miller and Linda Bittner share their ministry stories with St. Hildegard Society members. Sister Linda works at North Spencer Alternative Education Center in Dale, Indiana, as a teacher of English and English-as-a-Second Language. Sister Jenny is a chaplain with Visiting Nurse Association Hospice in Evansville, Indiana. |

Kids and adults enjoyed an evening of fun, food, and prizes at our annual Employee Family Picnic. While some of the sisters provided games and entertainment for the children, the parents played bingo or cards.
The evening event was a small token of the sisters' appreciation for all our dedicated employees and the work they do at the monastery. |
After an evening of “Dancing with the SiStars” yesterday, friends and supporters of the Sisters of St. Benedict came to take on the challenge of the Cook Dome Classic golf scramble today. Proceeds from this fifth annual golf scramble will support our ministries in schools, parishes, church institutions, health care facilities, retreat centers, and social agencies.
One hundred golf enthusiasts roll onto the Donald Ross Course in French Lick, Indiana, for a round of golf on this newly restored historic course. |

Sister Rose Mary Rexing, director of Mission Advancement, welcomes participants to the golf scramble. Following the welcome, Sister Kristine Anne Harpenau, prioress, said a prayer of blessing for the day, and golf legend Alice Dye took the ceremonial tee shot. |

Before golfing, Sister Francis Marie Pifer, Ginny Mackin, Therese Wernert, and Sister Mary Ruth Krack pose with golf legends Alice and Pete Dye, in center, and their dog, “Sixty.” |
Carol Meyer made an amazing hole-in-one on the 16th hole. This is the second time the Dome Classic has seen a hole-in-one. In 2004, LPGA senior player Sue Ertl made a hole-in-one, the 10th of her career. |
